The IWF is a UK charity that aims to eliminate online child sexual abuse images. We provide the UK Hotline for anyone to report images and videos of child sexual abuse, criminally obscene adult content and non-photographic images of child sexual abuse.
The goal of the External Relations Department is to raise the profile of the IWF and to build strong relationships with all our external stakeholders. We are able to offer the right person the chance to help shape and deliver our marketing communications strategy and get all-round experience of working in the disciplines of public affairs, public relations and digital communications.

As a Communications Intern, you will not be required to look at the images and videos that are reported to us. You will, however, need to pass a CRB check before starting your role.
Key responsibilities and person specification
Design creative marketing materials and provide general support for the External Relations Department. This includes creatively delivering the marketing and design elements of the External Relations plan and supporting – and contributing to - all areas of the External Relations department, covering public relations, public affairs, IWF Membership and digital communications (social media and website).
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person who has – or is currently studying for - a degree in marketing, public relations, media, communications or any other relevant area.We require the person to be able to use the Adobe Creative Suite, in particular InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator and preferably have some experience (professional or personal) with designing (marketing) material to a professional standard.
Finally, we are looking for somebody who is eager to learn, has a high level of written and verbal communications skills and is able to work constructively with internal and external professional colleagues.
